WINERY

Founded in 1960, the Adega Cooperativa de Vidigueira, Cuba e Alvito is located in Vidigueira, in the heart of the Alentejo, between Évora and Beja. The main feature of this region is the rolling plain that extends to the south and west, the Serra do Mendro range to the north, and the River Guadiana that borders it to the east. The characteristics of the vines that give rise to the wines of Vidigueira are unique, enriched as they are by the character and heat of the Alentejo, the knowledge and the flavours that give the Winery its soul.

More than half a century after our foundation, we aim to fulfil the promise of discovery and affirmation of the Vidigueira region, where wine culture dominates. Here, the techniques and history of talha wine are deeply rooted, since Vidigueira is the main exponent of the tradition of this ancient craft. We welcome you on a voyage that takes our Winery and region back to the memories and conquests of distant times, 2,000 years ago.

In our Winery you will find production areas carefully designed to allow for different types of fermentation, depending on the types of wine that are to be produced. You can also visit the modern bottling and labelling line, which is certainly impressive.
